Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
Construction- Diesel Vehicle- Heavy Equipment Repair & Maintenance
Responsibilities:
Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on construction vehicles & heavy equipment, i.e. (Dozers, excavators, dump trucks, backhoes, and other construction equipment)
Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of heavy/dirt equipment
Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
Perform safety checks on heavy equipment
Estimate time and material costs on equipment repairs and request new parts
Maintain a clean and safe workstation in compliance with company and OSHA standards
Skills/Qualifications:
2 years of experience performing repairs and preventative maintenance on construction vehicles & heavy equipment (backhoes, dozers, etc.)
Valid CDL license desired
The ability to multitask and identify parts or machines that need new components, or need to be replaced, will be necessary.
Ability to use a wide range of personal hand tools
Welding experience is a plus
Proficient with diagnostic tools is a plus
Valid driver's license is required, CDL license is preferred
Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
