Auto Body Tech Jobs description
An auto body technician position can be found with an automobiles manufacturer, automobile service center, automobile design center, or auto parts manufacturer. Typical responsibilities of an auto body tech professional include guiding auto body mechanics, diagnosing for faults in the vehicle as reported by auto mechanics, taking notes about the problems noticed, repairing and replacing faulty parts, coordinating with parts manager, attending training sessions so as to keep updated on technological advancements, educating auto body mechanics on new trends in the repairs area, attending meetings, adhering to the company's service guidelines, and performing other tasks assigned by the auto service manager. An auto body tech professional typically reports to an auto service manager.An auto body tech professional should have an associate's degree or bachelor's degree. Strong technical knowledge is essential for an auto body tech position. Prior experience as an auto body tech professional is advantageous.
