As the US automotive market downsizes, many companies, like Tyco Electronics, will be forced to make changes.
On Wednesday, Tyco Electronics revealed its plan to eliminate close to 100 jobs at plants in North America. A significant number of those job cuts will be from two Pennsylvania plants. However, its North Carolina, Michigan, Mexico, and Canada plants will also be affected.
Employees affected by Tyco’s downsizing will be offered severance agreements and outplacement services.
It is reported that Tyco’s electronic components segment, located in North America, had an 18% decrease in business.
