Reporting to the Sr. Director Client Strategy/Client Partner the Client Strategist is responsible for building, expanding, and maintaining strategic insights for our Sales and Client Partner teams that will help grow Cox Automotive OEM revenue. The Client Strategist is responsible for the entire suite of Cox Automotive products and will enable Cross-Cox strategic client solutioning by connecting the dots across the OEM organization as well as our solutions to help our clients achieve their objectives. The Client Strategist will support the Client Partner in developing the account strategy and provide strategic support to all sellers who have individual revenue responsibility for the account.
Maintain high-level relationships, in partnership with the Client Partner and CAI Account Directors, with our key OEM clients to help them derive maximum value from their investment in Cox Automotive brands
Under the guidance of the Client Partner, collaborate with all sales teams to ensure portfolio growth attainment and support a holistic brand strategy to lead the evolution of CAI from individual business units to a unified sales strategy
Facilitate conversation between Account Directors calling on the same client and build in-roads for key individuals, outside of sales, that engage with the OEMs
In collaboration with the Client Partner, create a client centric Strategic Account Roadmap/Blueprint and position the capabilities of Cox Automotive to help them achieve their goals/vision
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client’s automotive global industry business challenges and objectives to proactively map Cox Automotive features and associated business benefits to address their needs
Working at the direction of the Client Partner plan and coordinate executive-level QCRs with OEMs, Agencies and Captives, bringing a more integrated cross-Cox view of the client’s overall partnership with CAI
Contribute to quarterly account planning meetings to unify and execute the OEM brand plan and strategy roadmap
With the Client Partner, serve as a client advocate in driving the strategy roadmap and providing Voice of Customer to the evolution of Cox Automotive product and platform functionality, integral to the OEM client's success
Contribute thought leadership and global best practice internally around strategic challenges and solutions for our key OEM clients
Provide profitable insights by accessing toolkit of data and resources to aggregate information, analytics, and KPIs to support Cross-Cox opportunities
Support the implementation of GES initiatives (i.e. Digital Retail, IAD (Intelligent Ad Disruption), Mobility, Integrated Remarketing)
Influence and enlist organizational functional support (e.g. marketing, operations, pricing, product, etc.) as needed
Provide visibility into OEM Client Strategies and associated gaps in Cox Automotive offering/solutions
Document and archive outcomes of executive meetings, opportunities, action items, etc., using Value Proposition tool/Dashboards
Create content and collect analytics to support high-level executive meetings and guide the Consumer Journey for the client in coordination and support of CAI sales pursuits
Bachelor’s degree (with a focus of business, marketing, strategy, finance, or project management) required
8 years Automotive experience
Strong knowledge of business processes (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Service, Support)
Expertise and experience dealing with large, complicated accounts
Senior-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively navigate and mediate conflict and foster honest dialog
Ability to create and deliver powerful, persuasive presentations and story-lines to rally organizations around transformative efforts
Ability to work strategically with a wide array of groups; from analytics to marketing to sales
Proven effectiveness at leading and facilitating collaborative executive meetings and workshops
Knowledge of Cox Automotive product and platform features, capabilities, and best use preferred
