Enterprise Holdings has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Apprentice Automotive Technician.
 
The Apprentice Automotive Technician performs car service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and vehicle reconditioning service according to company policy and procedures. Our Auto Tech team performs car service, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and vehicle reconditioning services on a fleet of late model rental vehicles \u2013 no customer interaction involved! 
 
This position pays up to $29.50 / hour! 
 
Minimum pay $24.50 / hour (not flat rate with 1 ASE)  $1.50/hour per additional ASE   $2.00/hour for MD State Inspection (preferred) and is located at our Service Center at 7710 Annapolis Rd, Lanham, MD 20706. 
 
Schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.  NO WEEKENDS!
 
*opportunity to advance to Auto Tech with 4 earned ASEs!

Responsibilities

Work alongside an experienced auto technician as directed by supervisor or manager, to gain experience in the different areas
Ensure that all mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturer\u2019s specifications and guidelines
Complete manufacturer required training and perform warranty and recall repairs according to the manufacturer\u2019s specifications and guidelines.
Complete ADA installs as required upon completion of training
Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures
Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of all services
Utilize multiple manufacturers\u2019 websites, software and diagnostic tools
May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy backs
Update job knowledge by participating in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training
Follow proper procedures to comply with all health, safety and environmental standards
Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards
Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

Must have one of the following:

Two years of automotive repair training at an accredited technical / trade school OR
A minimum of one year of repair experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles

At least one (1) ASE Certifications (A1-A8, L1, or L3)
Must be willing to work toward 4 ASE Certifications for promotional opportunity
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
Must have a valid US driver's license for a minimum of 1 year
Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing
Must have satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no DUI or DWI on driving record in the last 3 years) employment reference, education and social security.
