Auto Tech Jobs description
An auto tech professional is responsible for diagnosing technical problems in automotives; repairing or replacing faulty parts; installing and repairing parts like air conditioners, compressors and condensers; communicating with parts manager to obtain needed parts; driving motor vehicles in special cases; inspecting and testing new vehicles for damage; documentation of all work performed; attending training classes; ensuring neatness of vehicles serviced; meeting customers and taking their feedbacks; preparing vehicle service reports and performing other tasks assigned by the auto service manager. An auto tech person typically reports to an automotives service manager.An auto tech person should have a high school diploma and a certification to work as an auto tech professional. Prior experience as an auto technician may be advantageous. Excellent customer service skills are required for an automotive tech position. A valid driver's license is essential for an auto tech role.
