Auto Technician Jobs
An auto technician is responsible for services related to the technical aspects of a vehicle. Typical duties of an auto technician include guiding auto mechanics in preparing a vehicle for service, diagnosing for faults in the vehicle as reported by auto mechanics, taking notes about the problems noticed, repairing and replacing faulty parts, coordinating with parts manager, attending training sessions, educating auto mechanics on new trends in the repairs area, taking test drive of vehicles in order to check for problems, attending meetings, adhering to the company's service guidelines, keeping updated on technical knowledge, meeting customers at the time of delivery and taking feedback, and performing other tasks assigned by the auto service manager.
An auto technician should have at least a high school diploma. A certification to work as an auto tech professional may be required. Prior experience working as auto technician is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills are required for an auto technician position. A valid driver's license is essential for an auto technician role.
