Auto Tech Jobs
An auto tech professional is responsible for diagnosing technical problems in automotives; repairing or replacing faulty parts; installing and repairing parts like air conditioners, compressors and condensers; communicating with parts manager to obtain needed parts; driving motor vehicles in special cases; inspecting and testing new vehicles for damage; documentation of all work performed; attending training classes; ensuring neatness of vehicles serviced; meeting customers and taking their feedbacks; preparing vehicle service reports and performing other tasks assigned by the auto service manager. An auto tech person typically reports to an automotives service manager.
An auto tech person should have a high school diploma and a certification to work as an auto tech professional. Prior experience as an auto technician may be advantageous. Excellent customer service skills are required for an automotive tech position. A valid driver's license is essential for an auto tech role.
