Automotive Mechanic Jobs
An automotive mechanic is responsible for diagnosing the cause of malfunctioning of automotives as per factory standards; repairing or replacing parts of a vehicle; installing and repairing air conditioners, compressors, and condensers; testing electronic computer components in automobiles to ensure that they are working properly; communicating with parts manager to obtain needed parts; inspecting and testing new vehicles for damage; handling documentation of all work performed; attending training classes; ensuring that vehicles are kept clean and lie intact in the service center; performing other tasks assigned by automotives service manager. An automotive mechanic typically reports to the automotives service manager.
An automotive mechanic should have a high school diploma and a certification to work as an automotive technician. Prior experience as an automotive mechanic is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills are required for an automotive mechanic position.
