Automotive Consultant Jobs
An automotive consultant is responsible for meeting and exceeding automotives sales quotas as assigned. Typical duties of an automotive consultant position include meeting and greeting customers, understanding customers need for an automobile, showing the various options the customer has in a prescribed budget, assisting in taking a test ride, comparing the model with other vehicles in the market, telling the benefits of the vehicle, informing customers about finance options available, closing the sale, participating in promotional campaigns and forwarding financials to the finance department, ensuring that delivery is timely and at the customers’ convenience. An automotive consultant typically reports to a sales manager.
An automotive consultant should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree. An MBA degree is advantageous. Prior experience as an automotive consultant may be advantageous. Excellent customer service skills are a key trait for an automotive consultant position.
