The economy is slowing down everywhere but there are still jobs that are abundance and booming that you can be considered for. These include construction jobs, manufacturing jobs, and automotive repair jobs. The good news is many of these jobs do not require a degree to get in the door and if you have a degree you can likely work in management.

Construction jobs seem to be never ending. If you have ever worked in construction jobs before you will know there are many positions that you can apply for which include driving jobs, hard-labor jobs like diggers, and more. There is always an abundance of jobs in most cities where construction is occurring.

The best ways to find construction jobs are by looking to see which cities are working on streets. You can check on planning and zoning sections of local towns to find out which projects are occurring and which construction company is working on the project. When you are looking for construction jobs it is common to go through an agency to help you find a job. You may not need a resume if you are applying for a basic job, but if you want management construction jobs then you will need experience and a professional resume. You will need references and proof you can manage a group or team of people to work on site for you.

The one thing to think about with construction jobs is that every time voters go to the polls they are going to pass a bill approving money to be spent on the roads. For example, if a bill passes approving millions to repair city roads you will know many jobs are about to become available. A good example of this is the Oklahoma bill that just passed approving over $52 million in road repairs over the next ten years. This is ten years of steady construction jobs. The economy will most likely have improved significantly in the next ten years too.

Manufacturing jobs
are very similar to construction jobs. If you want to work in manufacturing jobs most of the positions will not require a degree, unless you are looking to be a manager. You will need to apply through the agency the manufacturer is using to hire employees or through the company themselves. It is always okay to call a company directly and ask them if they use a contracting company to hire their staff for manufacturing jobs.

If you are looking for management manufacturing jobs you will need to have a professional resume put together. You will need to show that you have the capability to produce more and spend less. You need to show you are successful with scheduling and productivity.

Manufacturing is about the bottom line and if you can prove you are good at managing your team you will work well in any manufacturing industry and will be an asset.

Automotive repair jobs are always booming. One thing to keep in mind is that many of these companies are cutting down and so are automotive repair jobs. Everyone needs a mechanic and most people are too poor to go to a dealership. You can always do work on the side until you find someone who will hire you at the wages you need. You may even think about starting your own business. Also fewer people will be buying new cars in a poor economy, so more people will need repairs to be done on their older cars.

One thing to keep in mind with automotive repair jobs is that they are changing as the economy changes with the newer cars. You will need to stay up to date with the newer hybrid technologies and the electric cars. As people begin to bring in these new technological vehicles you will be required to have the knowledge to work on these cars too. However, most people cannot afford hybrids yet and they are driving older models you are already familiar with.

When you apply for automotive repair jobs you do not necessarily need a resume, though it will definitely be helpful. You should have plenty of references and a good job history. You may find you are up against hundreds of others that are looking for work just like you. You will need to prove to the company why they need to hire you and not the other guy.

The economy is very fierce right now and there are many industries you can still find a job in. There is a lot of employment with construction jobs, manufacturing jobs, and automotive repair jobs. These positions are often labor positions that require you to get your hands dirty and really work every day. If you need a job you should check out these industries in your local area.
